Foxconn eyes 50% of AI server market, plans US expansion
Foxconn chairman Liu Yangwei said the company’s roughly 40% share of the global AI server market could reach about 45% next year and 50% within several years. The group plans to expand US manufacturing, initially focusing on higher-margin AI server racks and data center equipment. AI infrastructure orders have filled at least the next 18 months of capacity.

What to know
- 01
Liu expects AI infrastructure to account for 60%–65% of Foxconn’s revenue in three to five years, excluding on-device AI equipment.
- 02
Annual AI investment is expected to exceed the original $3 billion–$5 billion plan, with the amount depending on progress in vertical integration.
Why it matters
AI infrastructure has become an important growth driver for Foxconn, but Liu cautioned that market growth does not remove the need to control investment.
