NVIDIA broadens open model lineup for European industries

Jensen Huang says software improvements can extend GPU use to eight years or more

At GTC Berlin, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said GPUs can remain in use for eight years or longer, rather than the roughly four years previously assumed. He linked the longer service life to expanding AI demand and ongoing software improvements, saying programmability and updates throughout the hardware’s lifecycle help maintain efficient operation.
